Residential Exterior Doors
Installations • Replacements • Repairs
Your home's entryway does more than make a first impression—it's your family's daily passageway, your home's defense against the elements and a reflection of your personal style. At Morrell & Cullen Home Improvement, we proudly install high-quality residential entry and exterior doors that combine beauty, strength and lasting performance—perfectly suited to withstand our ever-changing New England climate.
Beautifully Built, Expertly Installed
Over time, doors can warp, crack, or lose efficiency—especially after years of exposure to Berkshire County's freeze-thaw cycles, heavy winds, and high humidity. Replacing an outdated or inefficient door can significantly improve:
- Energy Efficiency: Modern insulated cores and weather-tight seals help reduce drafts and lower utility costs
- Security: Reinforced locking systems and heavy-duty materials provide greater protection and peace of mind
- Curb Appeal: With dozens of style, color, and glass options available, your new door can completely transform the look of your home
- Comfort: Properly fitted exterior doors eliminate cold spots and help maintain a consistent indoor temperature year-round
Our Door Options
We offer a wide selection of entry, patio and side doors, available in fiberglass, steel and insulated vinyl—each professionally installed to manufacturer specifications.
Fiberglass Doors
Fiberglass doors offer the look of natural wood without the maintenance. They resist denting, warping, and rust while providing superior insulation. Available in a variety of wood-grain textures, stains, and painted finishes. Can be painted to match your home’s exterior.
Steel Doors
For unmatched security and durability, steel doors are an excellent choice. Their foam-filled cores provide impressive energy efficiency, and their strength offers superior resistance to weather and impact.
Patio & Sliding Doors
Our energy-efficient patio doors provide seamless indoor-outdoor transitions, available in contemporary sliding styles or hinged French designs. Enjoy expansive glass areas, smooth operation, and long-lasting weather performance.
Storm & Screen Doors
Add an extra layer of protection and ventilation while enhancing your home's energy savings. Storm doors help shield your primary entry from rain, wind, and snow—while screen options let in the fresh air during warmer months.
Bulkhead & Cellar Doors
Exterior access to basements and cellars provide practicality and protection. They’re designed to protect entryways from rain, snow and debris while allowing convenient access for storage, maintenance or emergency exit.
Already Have a Door? We'll Install It for You
Already purchased a new exterior or entry door and just need it professionally installed? No problem!
While we proudly offer a wide selection of high-quality doors from our trusted suppliers, you're not required to purchase your door through us to take advantage of our installation services. We're happy to install most reputable, well-known door brands, as long as we have the proper manufacturer specifications in advance. Simply let us know the brand and model of the door you've selected before your scheduled installation—so we can ensure a perfect, warranty-compliant fit from the start.

Pre-Hung vs Slab Doors
What’s the Difference?
When it comes to replacing or installing a new door, you'll often hear the terms prehung and slab. The difference comes down to how much of the door system you're replacing.
A prehung door comes as a complete unit — the door, frame, and hinges are all pre-assembled and ready to install. This option is great if your existing frame is damaged, out of square, or if you're installing a brand-new entryway. Because everything is already aligned, prehung doors save time and help ensure a perfect fit and seal — especially for exterior doors where energy efficiency and weather protection matter most.
A slab door, on the other hand, is just the door panel itself. It's the ideal choice if your current frame is still in good condition and you simply want to update the look of your interior or exterior door. Slab doors cost a bit less but require more precise fitting and hinge alignment during installation.
No matter which type you choose, our skilled team can handle both options — ensuring a smooth, secure and beautiful result that complements your home's style.
Built to Withstand the Berkshires

That's why we install top-rated, energy-efficient exterior doors designed to resist swelling, fading, and corrosion. Every door we install is carefully sealed, insulated, and aligned for maximum longevity and performance.
